In August 2021, the city of Summerside on Prince Edward Island announced that current public school buses would be replaced by an electric fleet in accordance with their Sustainable Transportation Action Plan. This launches Prince Edward Island forward, with one of the largest fleets of zero-emissions school buses in North America.
